7:10 – 7:45 | Early Morning (Arrival, unpack, sign in, AM chores, choice play in classroom) |

7:45 – 8:00 | Morning Exercises (whole group exercises and sensory input activities) |
8:00 – 8:20 | Breakfast (in the classroom) & Pictorial Review of Daily Schedule |
8:20 – 8:30 | Brush teeth & transition |
8:30 – 8:55 | Circle Time |
8:55 – 9:00 | Motor Game or Dance Party (learn simple childhood games or creative movement to classic rock, rhythm & blues, and other popular music) |
9:00 – 9:35 | Specials or Morning Work (fine motor, art, language and/or academic work in groups and/or one-on-one) |
9:35 – 9:40 | Individual Work (work individually with teachers or independently using shoebox tasks, file folder games, computer programs, and more) |
9:40 – 9:55 | Centers (directed and choice play, social activities) |
9:55 – 10:10 | Bathroom, clean up toys, snack (optional) |
10:10 – 10:30 | Outside Play (directed and free play, social activities) |
10:30 – 10:40 | Remaining AM chores, Bathroom (optional) |
10:40 – 10:55 | Goodbye Circle (Literacy activities, and sing goodbye to half day students) |
10:55 - 11:10 | Midday Transition (Half day students leave to go home, Full day children continue Goodbye Circle and/or Computer Work) |
11:10 – 11:20 | Lunch Preparation (Self-help, sensory preparation & pre-writing: table washing – straight, diagonal & circular lines, face & hand washing, order & get lunch from cafeteria) |
11:20 – 11:40 | Lunch (in the classroom) |
11:40 – 11:45 | Brush teeth, bathroom, getting nap items out |
11:45 – 12:30 | Nap Time (The class has the option to do 1 of the following: listen to quiet music, stories, poems, or watch educational television programs/videos.) |
12:30 – 12:40 | Put away nap items, bathroom |
12:40 – 12:50 | Motor Activities (gross motor activities to calm, alert and focus students) |
12:50 – 1:10 | Math and Music Group (learning math and more through music instruction) |
1:00 – 1:20 | Afternoon Group(s) (academic activities) |
1:20 – 1:40 | Play Time (inside or outside) |
1:40 – 1:55 | Finish afternoon work, PM chores, snack (optional) & bathroom (optional) |

** “Bathroom” refers to when teachers encourage all students to go to the bathroom. Children are allowed to go to the bathroom any time. Individual children may go on a timed schedule, when necessary.
